Emma Ashlynn

Emma came into this world at 8:06 p.m. on 21 December 2008. She weighs 6 lbs. 7 ounces, and is 19 1/2 inches. The love and joy that Abigail brought into our family is now being increased with this new blessing. We look forward to sharing her with friends and family.

In Reach

Daddy hasn't learned that I'm a big girl now. I can stand up and reach anything he puts on the window seal. I love playing with daddy's toys, they're colorful and make noise. Mama is good to me and puts them back up so I can pull them down again. I have to do something to fill my day.

Playing on the farm...

Abigail loves to play with her farm. Her favorite activities are taking the the windmill off the top and sucking on the horses head, I guess the shape is just perfect.

Abigail has discovered the wonderful world of pulling on stickers and having another one magically appear. This started of course with baby wipes which I wouldn't let her play with, no waste, then went to tissues - natural progression - which we did allow her to play with at a hotel (our bad for the waste but she was having so much fun). Then just yesterday she was digging through grandma's office drawers and found the Sign Here stickers, I didn't think much of it until I looked down and saw them all over her. It made me laugh, sooooo cute. I did collect all the stickers to be reused later.

Jason's Homecoming

After a 5 day adventurous journey Jason finally arrived home on 2 Nov '08, his birthday, from his deployment to Iraq. Little Abigail went right to her daddy without hesitation and already has him wrapped around her little finger.

Ladybug

When I was a little girl my mom would call me Diana-bug. To me that was the equivalent of a ladybug. I thought it was cute, loved the nickname. I was just thinking of that this morning as I dressed my baby girl in her first Halloween costume. Though she didn't seem thrilled to be wearing the costume she sure had fun looking at her buggy self in the mirror. I thought she looked especially cute on the bench in the yard. See for yourself. I have no idea what happened to my last blog but for some reason I can't access it to make changes so I'm starting over. Annoying.
