Santa

We took the girls to see Santa. Due to stranger danger issues (on the girls part) mommy had to sit on Santa's lap with the girls on hers in order to get their picture with him.

Jason's birthday

We took the girls to the Tree House Museum. It's a great place with little houses representing different countries, then there are stations made up to be like a farm or fire station. Upstairs there's a music area, a medical/science area, a huge US map on the floor, an art area where the kids can paint, and a theater area. I'm sure I'm forgetting something. Anyhow, it was a lot of fun.

His parents too us to dinner at the Sky Box, a sports bar/restaurant. The huge screen with guys tackling each other must have made Abigail a bit nervous. After that we went to the temple and walked around.

In Loving Memory

I want to take this space to remember and honor the best friend of my youth. Kandice Amber Mieden. I was six year old when we first met; she was lost, trying to find her way home and stopped to ask me for directions. We were nearly inseparable in our youth. Kandi was everything I wanted to be; strong, courageous, outgoing, friendly, she had a way of drawing people to her and making them love her. Our friendship helped shape who I am today. Kandi passed away on my birthday. It seems a reminder to me of the kindred spirits we were, and though we lost touch many years ago, we are kindred spirits still. I know she is in the loving embrace of our Father in Heaven. I can see her intoxicating smile as she greets other friends and loved ones who went before her. I can feel her happiness as she looks down on her family and all of her friends knowing that, for her, it will be but a moment until she can embrace us again. May her joyful spirit remain with all whose lives she touched.
